splash  This page presents an annotated bibliography of articles, reviews and other pieces (including program notes, interviews, talks, an encyclopedia entry, etc…) by Thomas Gladysz, all of which pertain to the life, films and legacy of Louise Brooks. This is a select bibliography. Not included here are LBS blog entries (of which there are thousands), articles about past screenings (of which there are dozens), and other ephemeral pieces. This bibliography dates back to 2004, with the most current citations listed first. Many entries are linked to their place of publication. However, a handful of them are no longer be found online, especially those written for the now shuttered Open/Salon and examiner.com, and SFGate (the website of the San Francisco Chronicle). Some of these pieces were gathered in my 2019 book, Louise Brooks, the Persistent Star.
